The pedigree fosterverse.
In real life, dog lovers will foster dogs by taking them into their homes until they get adopted. But not every dog lover has the means to take a dog into their home.
So we enabled dog lovers to foster real rescue dogs via the Metaverse. We created NPC dogs based on real rescue dogs available for adoption. These dogs will be ‘fostered’ by Decentraland landowners who host the dogs on their property for everyone in Decentraland to meet and interact with. The hope is that by giving these dogs new exposure in the Metaverse, it will increase their chance of adoption as well as encourage Pedigree Foundation donations to help support dogs in real life.
